Olympus

The Olympic Mountains always seems so close. Situated just across the Puget Sound from Seattle, I’m always looking from afar and don’t visit nearly enough. It definitely takes a bit more effort and commitment than venturing out to the more easily accessed Cascades, but whenever I make it to the Olympics, I’m never disappointed. During a late summer visit to the area, we were wandering along a beautiful ridge when we came upon this incredible layered view of Mount Olympus, the crown jewel of the range.
