Maidenhair

The variety of plant life in Pacific Northwest forests is extraordinary. From mushrooms to mosses and evergreens to ferns, the spectrum of colors and textures is impressive. There is something about the ferns though, especially the maidenhair. Their delicate leaves and radial shape are quite unique. I came across this dense patch and was really drawn to all the overlapping layers and subtle variations of yellows and greens.
