Big granite peaks, massive glacial valleys, wide open remote landscapes - this place has it all. As a landscape photographer, it's hard to ask for much more. A few years back when I was focused more on traditional fine art photography, I wanted to go on a trip based solely on chasing the light and capturing the view. This trip was all about slowing things down and planning the days around getting the shot. For as much planning as we did, there is a frustrating beauty in this style of photography. When we wanted some clouds, we had clear skies. When it was cloudy, we could have really used a sun break or two... It's an ever so subtle reminder you can't control the weather and it teaches you to deal with what you get...
