Illumination

Simply put, the sandstone landscape of the American Southwest is mind blowing. I can’t think of many other places with such a unique aesthetic. From the towering buttes to the deep and meandering canyons, the ways in which the rock has been shaped over time is incredible. While going deeper and deeper into one of the area slot canyons, it was beautiful to see how the light from above seemed to trickle down the canyon walls. There was this old tumbleweed perfectly situated as if it was in a spotlight. It almost looked like a torch illuminating the way through the darkness.
