Removing digital hurdles in audio and connectivity experiences. Panasonic

Removing digital hurdles in audio and connectivity experiences. Panasonic

Panasonic is a key player in the aviation industry. They provide a huge share of all in-flight entertainment platforms seen on aircraft today. Their products are everything from seat-back monitors, to remote controls, tablet devices, and consoles for crew to manage the aircraft. Panasonic was looking to introduce the latest tech while establishing a new visual brand language for their product portfolio. As each airline strives to differentiate themselves more and more, their interior design and in-flight experiences become more and more unique. The goal for this new design language was to provide a strong set of building blocks that would speak to Panasonic’s product quality and easily integrate within a wide range of interior design aesthetics. Building blocks for a better passenger experience. Panasonic is a key player in the aviation industry. They provide a huge share of all in-flight entertainment platforms seen on aircraft today. The story behind this new design language was based around different layers of discovery and interaction - or visual reads. What might the passenger see when they first step on board? What might they discover as they sit in their seat and take notice of the in-flight entertainment? How would the products feel as passengers begin interacting with them? These questions were the basis for all design exploration. They became the high-level principles that became the overarching design approach for Panasonic’s new brand language. The first impression is only the beginning. The story behind this new design language was based around different layers of discovery and interaction - or visual reads.
