Panasonic
Panasonic is a key player in the aviation industry. They provide a huge share of all in-flight entertainment platforms seen on aircraft today. Their products are everything from seat-back monitors, to remote controls, tablet devices, and consoles for crew to manage the aircraft. Panasonic was looking to introduce the latest tech while establishing a new visual brand language for their product portfolio. As each airline strives to differentiate themselves more and more, their interior design and in-flight experiences become more and more unique. The goal for this new design language was to provide a strong set of building blocks that would speak to Panasonic’s product quality and easily integrate within a wide range of interior design aesthetics.
Building blocks for a better passenger experience.

The story behind this new design language was based around different layers of discovery and interaction - or visual reads. What might the passenger see when they first step on board? What might they discover as they sit in their seat and take notice of the in-flight entertainment? How would the products feel as passengers begin interacting with them? These questions were the basis for all design exploration. They became the high-level principles that became the overarching design approach for Panasonic’s new brand language.
The first impression is only the beginning.
